Welcome! This is an online portal for Africans, African Canadians, African Americans, Caribbeans and like minded people who live in Kingston, Ontario or are passing through Kingston, Ontario. On this portal you can learn about the activities and other information that you may find interesting. Lets make this portal as useful as possible.

We decided to setup this website because of the relatively low number of Blacks or Africans living in Kingston. For an international student coming to school in Queens university or an immigrant coming from any of the African nations as an immigrant, you would quickly notice that you are a visible minority. In Kingston, only about 2 percent of the popluation of about 120 thousand people are black. Nevertheless, the city of Kingston, Ontario is a beautiful city that has a lot to offer to Black Africans.

It is a known fact that there is strength in unity and we all know that there are many things that make us proud as Black Africans. Our goal with AfroKingston is to provide all the informations that will help a Black person to feel at home in this beautiful city called Kingston in Ontario.

You can help make this site as informative as possible by sending any information that you think would be useful to our webmaster Ade - This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . If you are organising a babecue, staring a new business, discovered a grant or scholarship that is specific to visible minorities. please send them. If you have any questions or you just want someone to meet you at the Bus or train station on your first day in Kingston, you can also send an email to Ade. We will be glad to do al that is within our powers to make your visit or your coming to Kingston a pleasant experience.

Thanks
